A Certificate Ceremony Was Held For 32 Mining Industry Professionals

On February 19, 2020, a certificate ceremony was held in the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs Meeting Hall for 32 mining industry professionals who are experts in their fields, and qualified to become Competent Persons (CP) by the National Resources and Reserves Reporting Committee of Turkey (UMREK).

Cevat GENÇ, the general manager of General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs, attended the ceremony as the chairman of UMREK. Regarding the authorization from Additional Article 14 of the Mining Law No: 3213 and in accordance with Article 7 of the By Law for National Resources and Reserves Reporting Committee of Turkey (UMREK) and Article 11 of the National Public Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Code of Turkey (the UMREK Code), the Certificate of Competent Person were given to the mining industry professionals who have been entitled to receive the certificate with the decree no 13 dated 18/12/2019 of UMREK.

Mustafa SEVER, deputy general manager of General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs, committee members of UMREK, the Chairman of the Board Directors of YERMAM, members of YERMAM and 19 competent persons who priorly received the Certificate of Competent Person participated in the ceremony as well. Cevat GENÇ, the general manager of General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs, stated at the ceremony that Turkey having such a mineral diversity will reach an international standard with the help of mineral resource and reserve reports of competent persons based on their knowledge and experience and also stated that UMREK aims to increase the number of competent persons in the near future.
